Regeneration Works To Begin

Following the recent planning application consent given by Southwark Council, the regeneration work are set to begin on 11th January 2021. These will include the installation of new power infrastructure to facilitate an expansion of the market, new market stalls, market storage, landscaping improvements, a clock tower, and the demolition of 10 Market Place in order to create a new pedestrian route into the market square.

Warwick Landscaping have been appointed to undertake the works carefully in phases between January and July 2021, which will be carried out during permitted construction hours only and phased to ensure public access to the market, shops and town centre is maintained at all times.

Demolition works to 10 Market Place will be carried out in close liaison with adjoining properties. The contractor will have a site manager and a resident liaison officer who can both be contacted during working hours with any queries.
